Workflow systems…

As some who have worked with me know, I am kind of evangelistic about using workflow and logic engine based systems to enable distributed system processing and extensibility. Hell, I have been working on these kind of systems for at least 12+ years now.

I actually started in workflow and logic systems, when I was a principle workflow consultant for a company that at the time had one of the leading workflow solutions sold for both document management and process management in banks and other high volume environments like postal service routing.

So am used to very high volume workflow and systems where responsiveness and robustness were key. If not well it could cost someone somewhere a lot of money to say the least.

Anyway, to get to the point I am also going to create an API that will build a generic workflow system that is platform independent. It is not intended to be at the same level of performance as the systems I have used before, but will enable allot of people to understand how to create such a system and maybe it will be used in some new ground breaking systems.

I will be blogging on this API/system as much as the others over the coming months…

I am welcoming any comments and or feature requests?
